A Letter to All International Students
Dear all international students,
Greetings from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China.
Spring returns to the earth and brings warmth and hope. With rows of willows sprouting and the green grasses waving under the sun, the campus you dreamed of for many times is full of vitality again after the cold winter. The cherry blossom burst into bloom as scheduled, and we are expecting your return, too.
Under the unremitting efforts and strict control, the epidemic has been effectively controlled throughout China. The lockdown on Wuhan shall be lifted as planned on April 8. However, the international outbreaks are increasingly serious. China is now actively participating the fighting with the epidemic, sharing the experience in preventing and controlling the spread of COVID-19 in different ways, providing medical experts, medical appliances and technical support, and developing international cooperation with countries in need. At present, China suspends the entry of foreign nationals holding valid Chinese visas or residence permits temporarily. We hope all of you could understand that the temporary suspension has to be taken in order to better control the epidemic and protect your safety. Today’s separation is for a better reunion in the future.
